Straddie Day Tours

Straddie day trips

One of the best-kept secrets in Queensland must be Stradbroke Island, at the southern end of Moreton Bay. It’s an hour from Brisbane by ferry and at the heart of the island is a series of freshwater lakes that are perfect for swimming.

The beaches aren’t too shabby, either. One of them, Main Beach, is 32 kilometres long and largely deserted.

Straddie Kingfisher Tours has started a full-day City to Straddie 4WD Eco Tour that takes in the best of the island and includes plenty of beach time. The price is $175 for adults and $125 for children and includes pick-up in Brisbane, the ferry journey, morning and afternoon tea and lunch.
